Weekly Shout-Out: September 11th
This Sept. 11th, I would like to take some time to remember a dearly departed collegue, and friend.
Heather Ho was the executive Pastry chef of the Windows of the World Restaurant at the top of the World Trade Center. Sadly, she was working her last week at windows when the Sept. 11th attack happened. Had she turned in her two weeks notice just one week earlier, she would have been out of the towers before the attack. She had graduated from the same culinary school that I had, and was looked up to by all who graduated after her. R.I.P. Heather. You were a shining light to all who knew you. This shout out is for you.
