Dharma Secret’s LOST-n-Found: A Blog Dedicated to the T.V. Show Lost

LOST Experience: Who Is Hillery Aaron?

MurdocVimes from dharmasecrets.com posted that boardersstores.com lists Gary Troup and Hilary Aaron as authors of the book, “Bad Twin”.

If you do a site search, you find that the only other book that she is credited to writing is, “The Three Little Kittens in the Enchanted Forest: A Pop-Up Adventure”.

Many have pointed out that Gary Troup is an anagram for “Purgatory”, and that it is a made up name. It is quite possible that Hillery Aaron was the ghost writer for the novel, but this does not seem to fit concidering that the only other title atributed to her is a children’s pop up book.

MurdocVimes further comments:

“Its probably gonna turn out that she wrote the prologue or did the cover illustraition or something like that, although I doubt she did the illustraitions since she didnt illustrate her own book.”

It really seems like Hilary Aaron isn’t part of the game. She isn’t mentioned on either Amazon or Barnes and Noble. And since she wrote another book that’s actually available, I’d say she’s a real person.

Apparently it’s Stephen King who is the ghost-writer.

He’s a big fan of Lost, and King fan’s say it read’s like one of his.

Stephen King has said that he didn’t ghost write Bad Twin, but then again, he wouldn’t be a ghost writer if he went around telling everybody that he wrote it. The thing that I find interesting is that:

    1. Boarders is the only site that lists her as an author.

    2. The two books are very different. This makes me think that maybe Hillery Aaron is just a name, and it just so happened that there was another author named Hillery Aaron who wrote the children’s book.
