Dharma Secret’s LOST-n-Found: A Blog Dedicated to the T.V. Show Lost

Rachel Blake

From one of our readers:

On http://www.rachelblake.com/2006/06/reykjavik-iceland.html

Rachel says “I may also take a trip today down the coast, perhaps to the city of Vik. It’s supposed to be gorgeous, and I think it’s at the southernmost tip of the island, so it will feel like an accomplishment.”

Vik is the site of the fictional Hanso Foundation’s Vik Institute in the TV series Lost.

I’m from Iceland and I just wanted to let you know.

PS: as you can see, Vik is not a big city, it’s a very small village

Vik village
We might one day find a video of Rachel’s research and visit to “Hanso Foundation’s Vik Institute”

Here is an article from Buddytv about it.

Thanks to The Ferryman for bringing this to my attention.

LOST Experience: Unresolved

Now that the ARG is over, there are a few things that have been left unresolved.

Where are the last two Gary Troup clips?

What happened to Joop?

Who’s picture was behind Alvar Hanso’s picture on thf.org?

hanso3on.jpg

Who was Liddy Wales, and why was her Picture missing from THF.org?

execbio4sm.jpg

What happened to Peter Thompson, Dick Chever, Lawrence Peck, and Jacob Vanderfield?

Who was the girl in the hospital from the Thomas Mittelwerk hack?

heirapparent4.jpg

What was the significance of the Hole pictures?

What happened to Rachel’s Mother?

Who were the Retrivers of Truth?

What happened to Mel_O_Drama?

Who posted the Mittelwerk video on Broadband Stories?

bsmittelwerk.jpg

Where did Mittelwerk escape to at the end og the arg?

There are probably more that I can’t think of at this moment, but you all get the point. Could all of this point to a continuing story arc in a future arg?

LOST Experience: Breaking Down the Fourth Wall

On Sept. 27th, in a post on hansofoundation.livejournal.com, Javi finally came clean, and confirmed that he was IN FACT DJ Dan.

javier grillo-marxuach here.

no, i am not speaker (although, for a while, this was his blogging home)… let’s let him out himself as he sees fit, but i have been known to essay the role of a certain donut-lovin’ deejay on occasion.

from the fall of 2005 through may, 2006, i was one of the architects of the alternate reality game/multimedia experiment/multi-platform storyline known as “the lost experience.” during that time i worked in close proximity with the creators of “lost” (no surprises there as i was one of them) a coterie of international partners and sponsors, an amazing team of web deisgners, abc marketing executives, a global team of bloggers and chroniclers, a talented and varied cast, a crack team of video and audio producers, and one very bright writer named jordan rosenberg to design and implement the experience.

although my duties on “lost” ended on may of 2006, i remained associated with the experience both as a voice-for-hire and in an emeritus role behind the scenes.

the experience was an ambitious undertaking, and one that has sparked a huge amount of opinion from fans, viewers and players… since most of you have already heard hours of my blithering, i am turning this forum over to you, loved it, hated it, let me know. i know there’s a lot of questions, and i may just have some answers…

…the rules are that this is my forum, i will only answer questions as i see fit, i will only give as much information as i see fit (i don’t much care for mudslinging or blamestorming) and reserve the right to - ahem - shut you down… and if you do not have a live journal account and are posting anonymously, sign your posts, as i will delete unsigned anynymous posts summarily (because, after all, you know MY name!)…

so let me have it, i will refresh with a new post every once in a while, again, as i see fit…

LOST Experience: Final Message

On Sept. 26th, a message from Alvar Hanso was posted on thf.org.

However, there is still one final hack. By clicking on the word “Humanity” gamers found a hidden message from Thomas Mittelwerk.
